Patch 2.4 is on its way, bringing with it the story of the blood elves' betrayal by Illidan and the corruption of the Sunwell, the original source of the blood elves' power, by the death knight Arthas. This area includes a new quest hub and 5-player and 25-player instances.
Players will now be able to create level-70 characters with epic equipment on special tournament realms and compete in a new global arena tournament. Fury of the Sunwell is the last patch before the next expansion "Wrath of the Lich King".
