The 3v3 Arena battles on the tournament realms are exactly the same as those on the live realms - the same maps, winning conditions and rules.

However, there is one major difference from the live realms - the playing field matches a level from the point of view of gear and class availability. Since most players will be equipped in similar sets of class - specific PvP gear, more emphasis is placed on executing a winning strategy based on teamwork and individual skill.

Entering matches is also handled the same way - one has to speak to an Arena battlemaster and then enter the queue. The battlemasters are found near all starting areas. One can choose to enter skirmishes and rated battles throughout the season.

The same version of World of Warcraft is run both by the tournament realms and the live ones. Nevertheless, there should be no difference in game balance between the tournament realms and the live ones. Any patches that may affect the live realms after the tournament begins will also be applied to the tournament realms.
